Efficiency and control for a global network
GRUPO EULEN needed to upgrade its communications infrastructure to manage its more than 29 branches in Spain more efficiently.
With SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN, the company replaced its MPLS network with a more flexible, centralized model designed to support the company's growth.
The customer
GRUPO EULEN is a family-owned company with 100% Spanish capital, founded in 1962, that specializes in providing general services to businesses, institutions, and public administrations.
With a presence in 11 countries, it employs more than 74,000 professionals and serves more than 7,000 clients in the public and private sectors.
Its operations span areas such as cleaning, security, maintenance, support services, environmental services, logistics, human resources, and social and health care. Its strong global presence enables it to maintain extensive national coverage, with 60 offices, 49% of which are located in Spain.
The challenge
The company started with an MPLS network that needed to evolve to respond more flexibly to the company’s growth and the management of its branches in Spain.
The project was designed to centralize the entire network, provide real-time visibility and control, ensure redundancy at critical points, and reduce communications costs without compromising service quality.
In addition, the company wanted to migrate its infrastructure from an on-premises model to a private cloud environment hosted in an external data center and deployed with high availability (HA).

Solution
The implementation of SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN made it possible to replace the MPLS network and centralize the management of GRUPO EULEN's communications.
- Migration from MPLS to SD-WAN, with FTTH connections of 300 Mb and up to 500 Mb in larger locations.
- Centralized management of branch offices from a single platform.
- Redundancy at critical points through secondary lines, 4G backup, and high-availability (HA) equipment.

Conclusion
The project enabled GRUPO EULEN to transform a complex, distributed network into an infrastructure that is easier to control, maintain, and scale.
Replacing the MPLS model with SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN has addressed the operational needs of a company with more than 29 branch offices, two high-availability data centers, and varying requirements based on the size and criticality of each location. The company now has higher-capacity connections, redundancy at key points, and more agile management of the entire infrastructure.
The result is a network with greater operational autonomy, ready to quickly incorporate new locations and capable of ensuring service continuity with greater reliability.
Added to this is a reduction of more than 50% in communications costs, reflecting the project’s real impact on both the technological and economic fronts.
