Participation in the ASLAN 2025 Congress
The ASLAN association also organizes events such as the ASLAN Congress&EXPO. This annual event aims to help large and small organizations embrace digital transformation. SAIMA SYSTEMS was pleased to participate in this 32nd edition in Madrid, held on March 18, 19, and 20, 2025. Under the title “AI + Digital Innovation: Major Challenges and Opportunities”, the latest technological trends in the public and private sectors were discussed.
SAIMA SYSTEMS presented a talk led by our Sales Director and Co-Founder, Ignacio Marco Pérez, titled “Synchronizing the Future: The Key Visual Symphony of SD-WAN”. During the conference, we explained the origins of SDN (Software-Defined Networking), the momentum that drove Silicon Valley toward SD-WAN as a replacement for MPLS connections, and which companies were the pioneers in using this technology.
After outlining the evolution of SD-WAN over the past decade, we took a closer look at its market in the U.S. and Europe, reviewing its market leaders and key competitors. We also highlighted SAIMA SYSTEMS’ entry into the sector and the process we follow with our clients for each project. Finally, we reviewed the different phases we implement, from the initial assessment of the company and the selection of an SD-WAN provider to implementation at the headquarters and the integration of multiple branches and remote offices.
This presentation successfully conveyed to the audience SAIMA SYSTEMS’ innovative SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN solution, which achieves the goal of many organizations to obtain a secure, efficient, and future-ready network.
A leading event in digitalization and technology in Spain
Over the course of three days, the ASLAN Congress brought together more than 8,000 attendees, over 150 speakers, and leading technology companies at IFEMA. As a result, it has established itself as the premier event for digital transformation in Spain. This year’s edition was extended from two to three days, and the space allocated for various activities was expanded compared to the previous year. The venue was divided into specific areas for presentations, technology demonstrations, and networking events.
The opening ceremony was attended by Óscar López, Minister for Digital Transformation and the Civil Service. In his remarks, the minister emphasized that “Spain is the digital hub of Southern Europe and an ideal country for responsible innovation”. He also announced the creation of the Spanish Society for Technological Transformation (SETT), a 16-billion-euro investment fund to promote disruptive technologies.
On behalf of the organizers, Alberto Pascual, president of ASLAN, emphasized the event’s role in building the digital ecosystem. “Each year, the ASLAN Congress establishes itself as a leading forum where opportunities and strategic alliances are forged to drive digitalization”. He also emphasized the congress’s importance for public-private collaboration to “move forward together toward a more competitive and secure digital future”.

The role of AI in digital innovation
Business and public sector leaders discussed the impact of AI, cloud computing, and cybersecurity on the industry. Major corporations such as Lenovo, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Dell showcased their latest innovations in digital transformation to visitors. This allowed professionals to meet and interact with technology companies in person, who demonstrated their products and services.
The event highlighted artificial intelligence as the major driver of digital innovation. Both in the solutions presented by manufacturers and suppliers and in the experts’ presentations, they explained how AI has been integrated at all levels to drive a technological leap forward in the sector.
In addition to addressing the business challenges faced by companies, this conference also featured keynote speeches such as that by Conor Neill, professor of Communication for Leadership at IESE Business School; and roundtables as interesting as the Threat Exposure Management / XDR conference, held within the Cybersecurity & AI Trends Forum. These sessions highlighted the importance of leadership, communication, and digital threat management to ensure preparedness for the future.
On the other hand, in the public sector, the 17th edition of the ASLAN Awards for Digitalization in Public Administration was held, recognizing fourteen innovative initiatives in the government sector.
