Taurus Group
They transformed their international network with SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN and optimized their connection to Asia through China Telecom, improving performance and control across all their locations.
Global connectivity with direct access to Asia
Taurus Group needed to transform its communications infrastructure to connect its international offices with greater agility and reliability.
Using SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN and dedicated connectivity with China Telecom, the company replaced its MPLS network with a more flexible, centralized, and efficient model.
The customer
Taurus Group is a Spanish multinational company specializing in small appliances and home solutions, with more than 60 years of experience. Since its founding in Catalonia, the company has established a broad international presence and currently operates in more than 80 countries.
The group develops, manufactures, and markets products through various brands, including Taurus, Solac, Casals, and Mycook, as well as subsidiaries located throughout Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia. Its business spans various categories related to the home, personal care, and the professional sector, combining industrial capacity, innovation, and knowledge of highly diverse markets.
This international scope has made the Taurus Group a company with a broad and decentralized corporate structure, capable of adapting its offerings to the needs of each region and maintaining coordinated operations across its various locations.
The challenge
Taurus Group operated its international offices through an MPLS network that was no longer providing the necessary flexibility and efficiency. The model entailed high costs, dependence on carriers, and complex management to connect branches spread across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
Connectivity with China presented a specific challenge, with high latency, packet loss, and network blockages associated with the country’s unique access restrictions. The company needed to modernize its global infrastructure, improve performance between locations, and establish a more centralized, scalable, and efficient network.
“We needed a network capable of connecting our international subsidiaries more quickly, reducing our reliance on MPLS, and ensuring reliable connectivity with China.”

Solution
SAIMA SYSTEMS designed a new international network architecture based on SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN, gradually replacing the MPLS infrastructure with a more flexible, centralized, and efficient model.
The solution also includes direct connectivity to China via China Telecom’s infrastructure—a unique capability provided by SAIMA SYSTEMS that circumvents the limitations of conventional international routes to China, reducing latency and packet loss while improving communication performance between offices in Asia and Europe.
- Deployment of SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN at international branch offices, with remote installation and Plug&Play configuration.
- Centralized orchestration and management via SAIMA CPC, facilitating the provisioning, configuration, and monitoring of all equipment from a single environment.
- Redundant 300 Mb FTTH connections provided by local carriers, improving capacity and availability at each location.
- Real-time monitoring and proactive alerts, providing greater visibility into network status and performance.
- High availability at headquarters, ensuring business continuity.
- Optimized connectivity with China via China Telecom’s private cloud, bypassing the limitations of conventional routes.
- Training for the internal team and 24/7 international support, ensuring coordinated management of the infrastructure.
Conclusion
The implementation of SAIWALL Secure SD-WAN enabled the Taurus Group to transform its international network and replace a rigid and costly MPLS model with a more flexible, scalable, and easier-to-manage infrastructure.
Centralization via SAIMA CPC, connection redundancy, and proactive monitoring provided greater visibility and control over all locations. In turn, dedicated connectivity to China via China Telecom improved communication performance with one of the project’s most complex markets.
The result was a network ready to support the group’s international growth, with a 70% reduction in communication costs and a greater ability to operate in a coordinated manner across Europe, the Americas, Africa, and Asia.
